All of our products are fully cooked, with the exception of the Fresh Polish Sausage

Do you have any Gluten Free Products?

All of our products are made with ingredients that DO NOT contain gluten.

Do any of your products contain milk?

Yes, our Liver Sausage has dried milk powder and our Cheese & Onion and Jalapeno & Cheese hot dogs have Cheese in them.

Do you have a store on Peckham Street that anyone can purchase from?

We do not have a retail store. However, if you call in an order (716-854-6083) at least 24 hours in advance, you can pick up orders at 336 Peckham Street.  Our pick up times are Monday thru Thursday 10 am to 2 pm and Fridays until noon.  In keeping with our old word charm, it is cash only.

What is the best way to cook the fresh Polish sausage?

The best way we have found is to simmer the sausage slowly until the internal temperature is 165 degrees.  You used to cook it until “dead” (as our Grandmother used to say, meaning no pink).  However, we have rosemary in our spice block and that can keep it a little pink.  Never let the sausage boil because the quick rise in temperature can make the casing very tough and it can sometimes explode while cooking.  You can eat the sausage after it reaches the temperature of 165 degrees but it can also be heated again by baking in the oven, in a frying pan, or any way you cook the smoked sausage.

What is TC and NC?

Natural casing is made from the small intestines of sheep. But if the hot dog is a little bigger, then it is a hog casing. (Like our all natural hot dogs and cheese and onion dogs).  Tender casing is made from collagen.  If your hot dogs have a casing and it doesn’t say natural casing on the label it is probably a TC.  TC (tender casing) is a natural protein product. Collagen comes from a layer of beef hide, removed and refined. The more refined the processing, the more tender the casing. They provide a tender bite and that familiar “snap” sound you expect when you bite into a casing hot dog.

Skinless hot dogs are made in cellulose casings which are designed for automated production of tubular sausages such as hot dogs or cooked sausages. The cellulose casings are also permeable to smoke and water vapor, allowing the full smoke flavor. The casings are then removed before packaging.

Do you make your products in a nut/tree nut, peanut free facility?

All of our products are made and packaged in nut/tree nut-free and peanut-free facility.

I no longer live in the Buffalo area. How can I get some of my favorite Wardynski Products?

We work with citymade.com to ship any of our products around the country.  They get it directly from us so you can’t get it any fresher. Due to sheer volume, they get better pricing and have the best know-how on shipping the product.

How long are my hot dogs good after opening?

The sell by date on your package is just that – a sell by date. Once you open the package and expose it to air, that date no longer matters. Opened hot dogs may be kept in their original store packaging when refrigerated. To maximize the shelf life of opened hot dogs, place the opened package inside a resealable plastic bag, or wrap lightly with aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Refrigeration temperature should be less than 40 degrees. The product should be used or frozen within 3 to 4 days of opening.

I have a sensitivity to MSG. Do your products use it?

We do not use any MSG (monosodium glutamate) at all.
